The client received the work and he didn't respond after that

Hello there,

I've got a job and I've sent the work at the same hour of opening the contract.
The client was very pleased with the speed and accuracy of the work.
He received the file and didn't respond after that and didn't approve the Milestone or end the contract.
I know that if I request payment of the Milestone I must wait 14 days.

Will the Job Success score be negatively affected if the client doesn't give feedback? , And why?

Thank you.

kind regards,
Asmaa

If a relatively LARGE proportion of your completed jobs have no feedback, then yes: This will cause your JSS to drop.

But just one such contract, or if the total zero-feedback contracts are few compared to all your contracts, then this won't hurt your JSS.

 Nonsense.

If a "relatively small" percentage of her completeted contracts that had some payment on them end with no feedback it has absolutely no impact at all. Why would you tell her such a thing?  You know better than that!!!!!!

If a LARGE percentage of her contracts end with no feedback it could have a negative impact.  A small percentage, however, with money paid, does no such thing.

Petra:

You are correct.

I didn't proofread what I wrote carefully enough, and my post had "small" where it should have said "large."

I edited my post in order to avoid leaving a post there that would be confusing.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.
Because I am a new freelancer here and the number of projects I have got doesn't exceed 8 projects.
This work is simple for $ 15. Does this percentage not affect the Job Success score?

And what is the best? Should I end the contract immediately or leave it open for longe time if the client returns?

Leaving it open for now is not going to hurt you.

Also: Don't panic about having a contract closed without feedback. Most of us have some of those. Just try to keep them few compared to your overall number.

If it was me, I would send one message to the client thanking him for the opportunity to work for him, and asking him to close the contract if he doesn't need any more help.

I would not send multiple messages to the client, but I would leave the contract open for now.

My hope would be that during the next few weeks, the client might see my message and close the contract. Or just close the contract because he is cleaning up his Upwork account.

OR, if the client sends you any kind of message, maybe asking a question, or asking for a small change, then that is a great time to ask the client to close the contract.

Example:

Client: "Thanks again for this work. It is great. I know I asked for a .png file, but wonder if you could send me a version in .jpeg format as well."

Freelancer: "Yes, I will be happy to do that. If you could take a minute to close the contract, then I'll send the file in that format."

Yes, I sent him a message yesterday to thanking him And reminds him to close the contract.

""Client: "Thanks again for this work. It is great. I know I asked for a .png file, but wonder if you could send me a version in .jpeg format as well."""

He asked me to make an additional editing and I did it and sent the file to him immediately.
He was very pleased with the work.

Well, I will keep the contract open.
I hope that the UPWORK will not cause me a problem because there is no activity in working with him

Thank you again
