I understand that you'd like to learn more about how you can be successful as a freelancer. You are not required to upgrade your membership to start working as a freelancer. You can stay under the Freelancer Basic membership if that's what you prefer. However, the Freelancer Plus plan includes a larger monthly allotment of Connects, membership perks, and visibility into competitor bids.
