Waiting as much as possible for withdrawing.

Hey everyone! First post. Searched through Google but only found very old posts.

This is my situation, I currently have a pretty steady project here with a client, which hopefully will last several months / some years.

The thing is, currently I don't need this money to live, and from where I'm from, it's very expensive to receive this money (2% with a $200 minimum per transaction, so it's best to accrue $10.000 before withdrawing).

Currently, it would take me several months to achieve that sum, so, what is the maximum amount of time I can wait to withdraw? Can I withdraw every several months if I wanted to instead of monthly?

I started working with this client in May, if that info helps (yes, 3 months and a half passed).

Hi Kevin,

You can check the Available Payment Schedules here. Please keep in mind that balances older than 180 days will be withdrawn automatically, whether they are over your balance limit or not.

Thanks a lot Andrea! I don't have a payment method set up yet, what would happen if 180 days pass?

Unfortunately, we cannot hold your funds longer than 180 days, per our Terms of Service. If you have not withdrawn your funds after that time period, we will place a temporary hold on your Upwork account and you will not be able to enter into new contracts until your balance has been withdrawn.
