Withdrawal account already setup but still inactive

Hi Upwork Support,

I set up a couple of accounts for direct to local bank withdrawal method for my payments. However, after 3 days, both accounts' status are still shown as "inactive". Please assist to activate these accounts so I can make withdrawals on the scheduled dates, thank you.

Hi Jo Lene,

 

I checked your account, and it looks like you haven't completed the W-8BEN form. The Form W-8BEN is a form used to confirm you’re not a U.S. taxpayer and that Upwork is not required to withhold taxes from your earnings. Please follow the steps below to complete the form:

 

  • Go Settings  Tax Information
  • Provide us with your legal name and address
