Despite professionalism, despite excellence, and despite offering low prices, no client contacts me. I have completed two projects at the lowest price, and they received 5-star ratings and 100% client satisfaction, yet no client reaches out to me. Why is that?

When they see five star ratings from $10 and $5 jobs they may suspect that your buddies hired you.

However, I accepted these projects in order to build up my ratings. I would communicate with the client and offer the lowest price so they would hire me, even though I delivered work of the highest quality that deserved a much higher price.

Bidding low is usually a big mistake. Try raising your rate a bit now and again after your next job and so on. I think you will be surprised at the results.

I really tried to do that, Mary, but all of it was in vain. I feel frustrated.

I already have the required skills. I have been working on AutoCAD for more than 10 years. I am a professional at working on 3dmax, but unfortunately I have had bad luck despite the quality of my work.

One thing that you can do is turn off your "available now" badge - it's a total waste of money. Clients will only see it if you come up in the first few pages of the search results, and with millions of other freelancers using Upwork, that'll hardly ever happen.
