I am sure I'm literally the only person in upwork that does no actual work.Really, is it that hard to get gigs in here? I have been here for 3 months, bought connect with my money, bid for gigs regularly, but still nothing.

You're not. Most new freelancers never win a single contract.

It is and it isn't...

You need to fix your profile and your portfolio pieces.

Any client with even a medium level of English will not hire you seeing the poor English your material is written in.

Upwork is incredibly competitive, and the writing sector especially so.

To try and get a foothold is hard even for native speakers with flawless portfolio items, so for someone with poor written English it will be much harder if not impossible, especially when that someone has an hourly rate which looks to be in stark contrast with the quality on offer.
