I've submitted a proposal for a job that was opened on Feb 4. It's been 4 days since I submitted. I know that the average turnaround is 3 days, so I still might hear from the person, yay or nay.
Just wondering, though, if some jobs remain active in the job search even after the position has been filled. Like, if the person who posted the job filled it by another means and forgot to withdraw it from Upwork.
It's not a problem; it's just something I'm curious about.
RJ, they do remain active so it's always a good idea to check if a job has any hires before sending a proposal. Welcome to Upwork by the way.

Thank you for the quick response. Upwork seems like a nice service with lots to offer.
On an added note, you're a smart individual by specifically targeting an editing niche.
Double kudos for you.
When I first started (when Upwork was oDesk), I bid on a lot of old offers, and one of my early jobs came from a client who had posted an offer that was some weeks old.
