We recently launched a test feature that provides Consultations follow-ups in the contract workroom. Starting December 20, half of all freelancers who have completed a consultation can continue the working relationship with their client directly through the contract workroom. Freelancers are able to propose a new contract or schedule a follow-up message with a client if their work needs aren’t immediate. This test aims to improve freelancer-client relationships by addressing common questions such as how to hire the same freelancer after a consultation meeting.
After a consultation meeting is complete, freelancers now see a blue banner that asks if they want to keep working with the client. Freelancers can select Keep working together or exit out of the banner by clicking the X on the top right corner.
If freelancers select Keep working together, they see a pop-up with two options:
- Propose a new contract
- Schedule a follow-up message
By selecting Propose a new contract, freelancers are directed to the existing contract creation flow.
By selecting Schedule a follow-up message, freelancers are able to write a message to the client and schedule a date and time when the message should be sent.
Once the message is scheduled, freelancers can access their scheduled messages in their workroom. They’re able to edit or cancel their scheduled messages as needed.
