Can I hire new freelancers when disputing invoice on another job?

Hi!!

My current freelancer overcharged me so we're currently handling that now, may turn into a dispute. However, I would like to hire 2 other freelancers to complete other projects. Is that an option to be able to send $$ to them since I havent paid my current freelancer who I am working out the past invoice with?

Overall my question is: can I hire for other job while i'm currently working out a incorrect invoice with a current freelancer?

Hi Rhesa,

Generally, a client can still hire freelancers if they have a dispute in progress. However, in order to hire, the client's account and the payment method have to be in good standing with no holds.
