Can I post a job that is only for a couple hours?

I need to hire a couple people to do usability testing. I expect to only need 2 to 3 hrs max per person.

Do I need to mention this in the job posting?

Of course you can.
Be clear about the work to be done and the hours you think are needed. By using an hourly contract, you can stipulate how many hours you allow to be worked. If for whatever reason more hours are needed, you can easily increase them.
