Connect supplier via Upwork

Hello everyone,

I looked for a contact page but didn't find any, so i hope i'l gett answer here - 

I would like to find a freelancer or company that will do some work for me. After I find someone suitable do I need to make the connection with him through the site? If yes - what does it gives me?

This is easy to do!

Just post a job describing what it is that you need to do.

You can then WAIT for freelancers to contact you by sending proposals.

Or you can navigate to specific freelancer pages and click the button to invite them to apply to your job.

Or you can do both.

What i'm asking is - when i'll find someone, should i hire him through Upwork?
I'm asking because i can always contact him and hire him outside Upwork...

If you find a freelancer using the Upwork site, then you need to hire that person through Upwork.

If you find the freelancer some other way (example: you met them while walking your dog) then you are not required to hire them through Upwork.
