Fraudulent charges on Upwork Plus Membership

Hi,

I am new to Upwork. I had joined as a client and finished a task with a freelancer on logo design. I had no idea that I was in the Upwork Plus membership plan.

 

For the past 2 months, I have not used Upwork, nor had any intention for using the Plus plan. Still, Upwork has charged my credit card for past 2 months. This is completely fraudulent behavior. There has been no intimation regarding automatic renewal of Plus plan on sign-up. I have no recollection of ever signing up for any Plus plan.

 

Fortunately, I have now gone and cancelled the Plus. However, I want my refund for the months of Januray and February 2022 which has Upwork has charged me fraudulently. This is completely unacceptable, unethical and illegal behavior!!!
