Freelancer asking for access to email

Ive started a contract with a Freelancer

They are asking if they can have my password to my email & then change it back later

The freelancer is well reviewed so i want to trust them

But I feel like the obvious answer is not to do this

especially since i have access to the email and can forward them any information they need ..

You already know that it is never okay to ask for someone's password.

And you already know that this freelancer only wants your password so that he can steal money from you.

So why are you posting?

That's not ideal Aaron, don't give out your confidential details such as password to email address.

In fact, I would report the freelancer to Upwork. If he's trying this trick on clients, he's not the kind of freelancers Upwork needs.
