0% fee when you bring your own client

Hello,

 

In May 2017 I received a message from Upwork with a special promotion with 0% fee when I bring my own client to Upwork (I am a Top rated freelancer) and I received an invitation linked to send it to my client for register and activate this 0% fee. A few days ago, I send it to my client and he registered and started a Upwork contract and now, when the contracted is just ended I realized that I have standard 20% fee. What to do in this situation? It's obvious that I was not intended to bring my client to pay 20% to Upwork.

I haven't yet received any email with a personal invitation link I can share with clients Iโ€™d like to bring onto Upwork. How can I get that ?

It's really a great offer but i do not have any client outside of Upwork .

I have been recently notified that I am now a 'Top Rated' Upwork freelancer but I didn't receive any invitation link in order to benefit from the %0 fee. What should I do to receive this invitation link?

A few months ago, I noticed that you were offering 0% Commission if we decide to bring an existing client on Upwork.

My question is: Can I bring an existing client on Upwork without having to pay the 20% Fees? If the answer is yes, then how can I do that?

I have escalated your account information to the team so that they can get in touch with you with your personal link and more information about this program.

 

Note that if this client isn't already on Upwork and you've received the BYOC link, you as a freelancer will have 0% service fee applied on earnings you receive on contracts with this client going forward. Your client will still be charged the 2.75% payment processing fee. 

 

If you or your Client aren't meeting those requirements, Client still can hire you for a contract, while you'll be paying standard Service Fee.

Actually, just sharing my profile link isn't a good experience for my client, is there another way to get the client direct to propose an offer?

What if my client already created an Upwork client's account but it's because of me because they want to hire me? Like, I'm the reason they've signed up

 

Try to email them at bringnewclient@upwork.com may be they will ask cross questions to your client and may agree to give you 0% fee
