Antivirus flagged Upwork file as a possible Trojan

Hi,
I am using 360 Total Security antivirus app on my Win 10 PC. Few days ago after a computer scan I was notified that the Upwork app file d3dcompiler_47.dll in app data/ was suspicious and recommended me to put the file in a quarantine. This never happened before, and the Upwork desktop app is only updated when it notifies me of the update. It might be a false positive, so far the app is working properly it seems, even after the file move.
I'm just wondering if anyone else had the similar issue and what did you do about it.

Did you notify the antivirus provider about the false positive ? is there a way for you to do that? if there isn't maybe you should consider changing the antivirus you're using.

Well, I would like to be sure it's a false positive first 🙂

Hi Mateja,

While I personally don't use the same AV and didn't experience this before, I'd advise to white-list the app in order to avoid similar problems.
