Availability Badge still costing me connects after being turned off

I turned off my availability badge 3 weeks ago as I wasn't getting any new invites and it was costing me connects. Yet, up till today, Upwork takes my connects randomly for the availability badge when it is clearly off.

This makes no sense.

I think Upwork is becoming to 'connect greedy', those things cost money for chrissakes!

What's the solution?
