A new type of scam has recently emerged. The scammer creates a simple reference website to clone it. They offer attractive pricing for building it, such as $40 per hour for 40 hours per week. After finalizing everything, they request that you purchase the domain and hosting on their behalf, claiming they are too busy, etc. However, the domain they choose is often very expensive, costing around $200 or more. Do not fall for this scam; it's a credit card scam.
Buying domains and hosting on behalf of clients is prohibited on Upwork. Agreeing to purchase domain and hosting could lead to suspension from the platform. Please be aware.
