Cancel Hourly project

I recently received a job offer from a client to build a website, which I accepted. However, during our chat, I discovered that the website was intended for adult content. As I cannot support such content, I had to decline the project. The client expressed their dissatisfaction and provided a screenshot of their negative feedback in the project's feedback section. I am concerned about how this may impact my JSS score, as it was only my second job on Upwork.

Hi Hamza,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience with a client. Please note that we do not allow jobs that request work related to adult content. You can use the flag option found on each job post or message anytime you’d like to report a violation.

Feedback left on your job is directly from your client(s) and we can't edit these comments or scores, nor can we investigate them for accuracy. To avoid a similar instance in the future, please accept the offer from a client only after you have all the required information for the job.

Thank you,

Pradeep

Bad. But those jobs are not allowed so mods/support will help you.

So sorry for your experience. Hopefully Upwork support people get to look into it.

Hi Hamza, sorry to hear about this. As Radia said Adult content is not permitted in Upwork and you can read more about the type of jobs that are not allowed here - https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500007578942-What-kind-of-jobs-aren-t-allowed-on-Upwor...

I think a mod will be able to help you regarding this and hopefully, they will remove the negative feedback.

Lastly I would strongly suggest you to only accept offers once you get all the required information upfront to avoid these kinds of issues.
