Client Asking to change details on an ID card

A client approached me and asked me to change some details on an id card . He says its for a class project and will be used for academic purpose .

Is it against UPWORK TOS?
He says he has talked to upwork support and they gave a green signal .

Modifying identification documents, even for seemingly harmless purposes such as academic projects, can constitute fraud. Engaging in activities that involve altering or falsifying identification documents may result in account suspension for violating Upwork's Terms of Service.

It is strongly advised to refrain from such actions that could be deemed fraudulent or deceptive and to promptly report them to Upwork for a thorough investigation.
