Client is asking to create a Spamming Bot

Hi, recently I applied for a Job that said it was related to web automation. In the interview the client asked me to create a Bot that would register on a site infinitely, I think this makes it a spamming software. I don't know if it is legal or not to do such kind of jobs on Upworkthat'ss why I created this question.

Can anybody let me know should I do this job or let it pass and if there is any sort of reporting that I should do about the client?

You could ask the client what he intends to use it for, and if he says it's to test his site against brute force attack, then perhaps it's ok, but otherwise, you should probably withdraw your proposal.
