Client over funded the last milestone... Wrong amount is now in escrow.

Not the usual client/milestone/escrow issue. The first milestone was funded the correct amount and was paid promptly after completion. Then the client funded the second and last milestone -but not with the remaining project cost- but with the entire amount -including the first milestone. So Upwork escrow is now prepared to overpay me for completion of this project. I made the client aware of his mistake and he's very appreciative of me pointing this out but said he cannot figure out how to correct it...
Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Clients have the option to release a different amount of money (less or more) for a given milestone. Or if they accidentally released the full amount, you can refund the excess amount to the client.

When you will submit the second milestone, you can request the right amount.
