As a freelancer or agency, you'll use Connects to Submit Proposals and let clients know you're interested in their project. You receive ten free Connects every month at the beginning of your billing cycle and bonuses for some interviews you win. Hi Hamza,
Please know that we return Connects when a client closes their job without hiring or we find a job post has violated our Terms of Service. Connects will not be returned or refunded for unanswered and withdrawn proposals. You can find more information here.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing Connects. You can purchase Connects by going to the Settings page, selecting the Memberships & Connect option and clicking Add More Connects.
Once you’ve selected the bundle you wish to purchase, choose Add Connects, and we will automatically charge your account. You can refer to this help page to learn more about Connects.

Hey, i have seen that 50-60 percent of the jobs that i have applied on dosent hire anyone, in this case, will i get refund of the connects if the job expire after 28 days and the client dont hire anyone?

Thank you for your message. I understand it can be discouraging when your proposals do not lead to any interactions. Connects are returned only when a client closes a job without hiring or it is removed by Upwork for TOS violation. There is no refund of Connects for expired jobs. Hi there,
I am brand new to Upwork and applied for a two gigs using my connects. However, I realized afterward that one of the gigs wasn't the one I meant to apply to and promptly withdrew my proposal. Despite withdrawing the proposal, I noticed that my connects weren't refunded.
Could you please assist me with this matter? I would greatly appreciate it if my connects could be refunded. Is there a support email will I can get help on this issue?

Hi! I am new in Upwork. I see I have only 6 available connects. I want to increase number of connects so that I can apply for at least 10 projects every month. Unfortunately I do not have enough money to buy connects. So what are/is the ways/way to increase connects? If I provide and pass tests will this increase my number of connects?

Your Connects are not returned if the client chooses another freelancer, lets the job expire without hiring, or if you withdraw your proposal from a project. Hi Luiggi. What should I do if a client ask me for sexual services? I enrolled for a job and in the description it didn't say that it was related to Only Fans, they only said it was for a chat center. So now that I know what they really want, I want my connects back... Aren't they violating the Terms of Service? I think you should remove the project's post.

Remember that you can always report these TOS violations using the available flagging options.
Once it's confirmed that the job is violating the TOS, it should be removed from the platform, and you'll receive your Connects back.
