What do you mean?
If you feel a client has accidentally overpaid you, you can issue a refund.
Sometimes clients make mistakes, usually with hourly contracts, by not realizing that they get charged automatically, so they make a payment and then get charged, or they accidentally set up a salary in addition to the tracked hours.
