Escrow funded/payment unverified

hypothetical situation:

Lets say someone hires me for a job and funds an escrow but his payment method is not verified (or it gets automatically verified once he funds an escrow?)

Would I be at any risk of not getting payed for my work?

 Unless the client verifies their credit card the funds in Escrow can *never* be released to you and will go back to the payment method they were taken from after 90 days.
