I have been on Upwork for a wk and I have been invited to two interviews so far but they were both scammers asking to talk on telegram and asking for a deposit to start working. I have spent so many connections on proposals so far and nothing. How do I land my first legit job am getting very frustrated. Can someone connect me to a first client if it's possible?

Karen, with all due respect, if you claim to be a writer:

- Please choose a title matching your actual skills (yellow);

- Please pay more attention to typos and punctuation (blue). If you really want to work as a writer, especially in the academic field, your texts should be flawless and nobody would hire you after seeing so many inaccuracies in your bio. These first lines are your actual chance to shine - therefore you should use them wisely.

Don't worry. Just make your profile complete as make it to specific niche in which you are providing services. At the same time send proposals on job posts. Good things takes time. You will definitely get jobs. But your proposal should be precise and professional.
