i have received my first 10$ and when i chose the option "get paid" from the settings menu, i found that my balance remained 00.00$

Is it even worth withdrawing $ 8 ? You pay a withdrawal fee on that as well? 

Go to your Reports > Pending page

You will see the $ 8, and on the left, see the date the money will become available. The funds are in your 5 day security period.
