good day, i've uploaded different versions of my NIN several times. i even had a video call verification with an upwork representative (Gisel). She verified the documents & my personal details. after which she said i should reupload the documents again. i did & it was still rejected

I got the same response from the verification team. And so I process to use my physical National ID card instead of a screenshot. But the verification was still unsuccessful.

Hi PradeepH, I am trying to verify my identity, I uploaded my voters card and I got an email that the document I submitted wasn't supported. I checked through the upwork community forum and I could see that other Nigerians have had similar issues initially and eventually got it resolved using the voters card after reaching out here. I currently also have my NIN slip and my voters card and from the community forum, I could see a lot of people have been able to use either. I will appreciate your help as regard mine too. Thanks

I just had a conversation with an Upwork Support agent and from all indications it seems NIN Slip and NIN Digital ID are no longer valid for verification on Upwork.

Which seems to be the reason why mine was rejected.

For the past 2 weeks I've been struggling with my Identity Verification on Upwork.

I decided to use my National ID (NIMC) to verify but it was rejected, when I contacted Customer Support they said National ID is not an accepted verification document, that I should use my NIN Slip, which I did, it was again rejected and I was told it was not a valid identification document. Support then told me to use my utility bill or bank statement. My utility bill and bank statements are A4 sizes and will not fit into the ID size of the verification capture. 

Whenever I manage to capture the document I am met with this error (attached). I have tried to contact support but support takes a day to respond and end up giving me automated AI responses (attached ) and ignoring all my questions.

Any help on what to do?

Issues am facing;

The four corner of your documents cant be found and when the option to capture the document myself its says the document is not recognized.

Hello NikolaS, I have checked the helpful article and I have seen more from third party and I am using Govt issue ID in my country Nigeria and am still getting this issues.

1. The four corner of your documents cant be found.
2. When the option to capture the document myself its says the document is not recognized.
