Hiring fraud?

One month editing...requesting interview on "telegram"? Already 41 interviews? Fraud?

Probably. These scammers now seem to be targeting new (to Upwork) editors and proofreaders. Telegram seems to be a new "hangout". It is usually Google.

You could take it a little further without committing yourself. But don't fall for offers that promise unlikely perks and health benefits or require you to buy equipment for the job. Don't give away any personal data. And never agree to be paid offsite if a client finds you on Upwork.

I would report this client in the dropdown menu from "Flag as inappropriate"  and move on. Upwork will investigate and delist the job.
