I cannot access my original account

Hello everyone! 

I'm having trouble accessing my original account. When I use my email to log in, it says username incorrect. I thought they might have deleted my account so I decided to sign up but it prompts that my email is already used. To verify, I asked for help of a friend to search me up and evidently, that old account still pops up. And I still get email when someone messages me in that account. Please send help!
