Today I decided to go and take a look at my submitted posts to see their current status. I was going through and I realized that a job that I submitted a proposal for today, I had also submitted a proposal for 10 days ago.
It was the exact same posting. So basically I spent 12 connects to post on a job instead of 6 because the client didn't like what was offered the first time around, and unfortunately I was among those. However; how is it fair that I again lost connects applying again because he didn't close the first one before opening another exact posting.

Hi Mattie,
I checked your proposals page and was unable to identify the client and job post you are referring to. Please send me a private message with the client's job post link so that I can look into this further.

If you find multiple identical job postings from one client that are open at the same time, flag them. The client is not allowed to do that. unless of course they hire multiple people.
I also come across multiple postings, but I never apply to those (and certainly not to multiple ones) because 1. I remember a posting from 10 days ago, 2. their hiring rate is low which is a no-go for me.

Should have notice, but unfortunately I did not. However, lesson learned and I will keep a eye out for this going forward.

Mattie, even though you already applied to the second posting, you can still flag it as a duplicate and then Upwork should take it down and refund your connects.
