If client do not respond to the dispute?

For how long, after the first message by the mediator, if the client does not reply to the dispute, the dispute is won by the Freelancer?

 

Upwork, give 5 days for both, and this time if the client does not reply to the dispute, then what is the result?

Hi Saima,

 

Thanks for your question.  As noted here, under Upwork Fixed-Price Protection, disputes enter a mediation process with an Upwork dispute specialist. If your client fails to respond to mediation after two contact attempts, the dispute will be resolved in your favor and all funds will be released to you.

No. Upwork will look at your work diary and decide based on whether you have tracked your time according to the terms of the payment protection

 

You will win if you

  • tracked your time using the Upwork tracker (NO manual time) AND
  • added meaningful work memos to your screenshots AND
  • have decent activity levels AND
  • your screenshots show you working on the client's project

If one of the above does not apply, all hours that are not protected will be refunded to the client.

How much time does Upwork need to solve the dispute?
