In new web version of upwork.com I cannot paste clipboard if it has < character.

Recently there was new version of this webpage. In messages where I chat with client, when I try to paste text that contains "<" character it is ignored.

For example when I want to type:

Hello <b>world</b>

It will show

Hello world

I understand that it is converting it to html but there should be a way to type plaintext. In old version whatever I wrote appeared in the message.
