Hi, Hope you are doing well. I want to confirm that there is an Upwork policy that "$500-10,000" 10% will be deducted from the project amount. But Upwork deducted 20% from mine. I have a project "Building ReactNative Mobile App" with a $2000 budget. Can you clear this thing that why Upwork deducts 20% from my project budget?

We truly appreciate you reaching out to us. As a freelancer, you’ll pay a sliding fee based on your total lifetime billings with a client. Because we want to give you the flexibility to change contract types as you work together, we count all your contracts with a client –– whether hourly, fixed-price, or a Project Catalog project. (There are a few exceptions, see here). 

You can check your progress toward reduced fees under Reports›Lifetime Billings by Client. Feel free to check out this help article to be more acquainted with how the procedures work.
