JSS update date shows 27. Feb

Hello Everyone 

JSS was suppose to update on Sunday But it didnt. 

The last update date shows 27 feb

Hi everyone!

I have same issues with profile views.I have applied over 30 jobs last week, but my profile views keep the zero for 3 weeks. Is there any problem with my account?Screen Shot 2020-08-10 at 8.44.20 AM.png

So, before you posted on this thread that you have the same problem, did you read the dozens of answers that explained that the counter is broken and has been for some time, and that Upwork is aware of it and is working on fixing it?

 

If not, why not?

 

PS: How many proposals you have sent is irrelevant to that counter, as it only shows (well, when it works...) views that resulted from searches, not views from proposals.

I'm not getting profile views, nor a single response to bid and showing the same analytics from the last 3 weeks which is 0 even being submitting bids on a regular basis. Also, my profile is public with good JSS.

 

Also, I have changed the hourly rate, cover letter, and all 3 days ago but it's still the same. 

Please, help me.

It's a bug. The counter is broken.

 

More than tripling your profile rate in one fell swoop is unlikely to attract clients.

I'm in the same boat. I also keep getting notifications from Upwork that thank me for flagging, when I haven't flagged anything (intentionally, at least) What's going on UW?

I surprised that upwork members profiles are public but having straight line in profile view (My State page).

I'm a Top-Rated Freelancer and other one having Rising Talent  but having zeo invitations. 

Why???

I tried to slove this issue by upwork support team but didn't do.

Please help me in this way

I have also received the same mail and from that sate, my analytics are 0 even I bid on projects daily. Not even a single view or any response from the client. Also, I tried all by changing a cover letter, pricing, and all. but result are still same.

 

Any suggestions??

 

I'm a top-rated (plus) freelancer and have been working on Upwork for around 8 years. For the last many years, I have been receiving invitations every other day. But in the last 20 days I haven't received a single invite. I currently have a 100% success score and there's no reason that the invitations should stop all of a sudden. The only thing I can figure is that Upwork has changed the profile page layout and it has caused my invitations to stop.

 

I looked at the My Stats page and it shows zero profile views over the same period. I contacted support and the guy told me it's a 'client discretion issue' but I don't think that's the case. My complaint is still open and the support people are not responding anymore. Anyone has any idea what's going on?

Hi Imran,

I'm in the same situation as you. A few years ago, I recall this happened to me, and support gave me the same answer they're providing to you now. I struggled for a few months and eventually got sorted out.

 

I agree that there's no reason why all clients at the exact time decide that your profile (or mine) doesn't deserve a visit. So, something else, besides the broken counter, is going on.

A client of mine (US client) mentioned that when he searched, he found out that there's an option to look for only US freelancers and that by default is ON. I'm not sure if this is something new or not. If it's new, it could be related to the sudden drop in invites.

When I search with my client account, I don't see that option as I'm not US-based.

 

I also updated my portfolio and other details and even lowered my fee. Nothing seems to work.

 

I really hope that someone can care enough to provide support on this. I have been freelancing on UPW for several years, paid my plus account, kept a good rating, offered great service, and left 20% of my earnings. I believe I deserve at least an answer.

But I'm afraid that if it's related to some sort of segregation between US and non-US freelancers, I won't get any direct/real answer.

 

I believe UPW should assist in this matter to the people who are not only their clients but also represent them in a good way.

I have been looking for work and submitting proposals to clients but unable to get any reply from any of the clients.

please someone see my profile and suggest if any changes are required or how we usually submit proposals. 

 

I have submitted many proposals, but my profile views are zero. If my profile is not seen by anyone yet how will I be receiving invites?

Same issue with me. Since it's been a few months since this topic started, did you find out how to solve the issue?

My profile views droped to zero and no one is contacting me anymore and the same goes for my proposals. I have been sending an average of at least 3-4 per day and I get zero replies. It's wired because it was going very well up until one month ago. I'm honestly a bit worried now as I invested all of my time on UW to build a good profile and now that I am close to the Top Rated badge everything froze.

Please let me know if there is something I can do.

Hi all,

 

I've noticed a pretty worrying trend over the past couple of weeks: profile being discovered 0 times over the last couple of weeks.

 

Now I know that it's August, the slowest month of the year, but still I don't think I ever had multiple weeks with 0 views in the last couple of years (been on Upwork 5+ years). Doesn't make too much sense, especially since now I'm at 100% JSS (not to mention top rated for the past 5 years continuously).

 

Anyone has any idea/suggestion on what the underlying issue may be?

Just to clarify, freelancers in search results are shown on a rotating basis so that everyone gets a fair chance to be discovered. Thank you.

Hello Bojan,

I hope when the issue gets finally resolved, UW would inform all of the freeancers to check their stats.. to see that the matter has been resolved. and so if someone still having zero views continuously s/he may be able to inform you of the persisting bug.

What would be an estimated period for the rotation? 

I understand that everyone needs to get a fair share, but that would work if the rotation period isn't so large. Going now on the 4th week with 0 views, and it starting to hurt financial predictability.

We can't share the exact way profiles are rotated in search. It depends on many factors including who is doing a search, when and for what purpose. 

I would like to note that we do have a known issue with Profile Views showing incorrectly on My Stats page and our engineers are working on fixing it. This issue doesn't affect how your profile shows in search to clients, it's only the calculation in My Stats that's affected.

Hi Goran,
I don't think it'd be fair for freelancers to get discovered on a rotating basis. That would be the same as my assumption about " hiding my profile" in a way.
I am a top-rated civil engineer listed as Upwork's best in the States, and I have worked hard achieved this standings. So, it's Upwork's job to connect clients to "top talents" as it claims.
Basically, Upwork is in fact hiding freelancers profile under the name of " rotating basis".

Hi Everyone,
My profile view has been dropped to zero for more than a week, and I am a High-ranked top rated civil engineer ( not new to Upwork and right now the system doesn't allow me to pick freelancers for the location of this post).
I was receiving 1-2 invitation ( at least) daily before this issue, and it doesn't make scene for me, as an Upwork's top listed civil engineer, and also AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D specialist, to have no profile view for about 2 weeks( I am listed first on Upwork's best Civil engineers in the States).
Does anyone experiencing the same issue?
Any comment / advise / help is highly appreciated.

I can see you were able to reach our team via support ticket regarding this. We have a known issue that's causing profile views metric to show incorrectly in My Stats. Yes I do have an open ticket regarding this which has been " escalated to the technical team" as always, and I don't totally believe that it's just the incorrect metric count, because I don't receive any invitation as well. I believe my profile has been hidden ( somehow private).
I had experienced some odd issues before this profile issue happens:
1) I received a direct message and the client insisted on hiring me, and sent an offer 3 times if I am not mistaken. I told them the rate is low, and they responded that they will keep sending the offer if I keep decling them ( they removed their messages from the room but emails are available). Also to be added that I think the client is in fact an Upwork user, and there should be an intention in sending direct / private message.

2) Another client who had interviewed me for a job wanted to hire me. He had posted an hourly job and he wanted to send a fixed-price as we agreed. He claimed he doesn't know how to make the change even though I had clearly instructed them on how to fix that. Finally, he changed the job post all of a sudden, and sent an offer and an invitation simultaneously( exactly at the same time)! He is not new to Upwork also as he tried to show he is.

3) I had declined A LOT of offers before this zero profile view thing happens( they were scam / fake etc.), and it's safe to assume that Upwork system is hiding me from the searches ( not sure but possible).

Please forward these to the team, and please kindly help me get this solved ASAP; this is an important issue.

I understand it's concerning to see 0 Profile Views in My Stats. I can confirm, however, that this issue is affecting the way data is reflected on My Stats page. Profiles are still discovered by clients in search as usual. Still, our team is working to address this issue as a priority. 

 

I'd also like to confirm that declining offers has no effect on the way the freelancer's profile is shown in search or discovered by clients.

Well here is my guess, although it might be an easy fix I wouldn't push a release for such a minor thing.  I would instead fold it into the next release whenever that is scheduled.

I just saw a new top rated badge and a rather useless (for me) info regarding top rated plus on my stats page. However, number of views remains 0 (not that I'm really bothered by that, lol) So - they've rolled out new stats page - with no fix for the broken counter 😉

It's a bit like a broken watch! Essentially, when your watch breaks, time does not stop. It still goes on. You just can't see it on your (broken) watch.

I seem to have this problem but I didn't notice it untill I completed all my projects. I have a flatline since I became top rated, since july 20th or something.  I have over 30 bids in this period

I see that people here haven't been facing this issue for years. Why does it take days to fix the bug on my profile.

I have written more bids then ever before and still 0 views, 1 interview.

My last contract with a new client is from 3 weeks ago.

 

The thing is I used to get hired or interviewed very frequently after I send a bid, so I honestly do not believe this is an issue with the "metrics"

Hi,

I post the same question some days ago, but still facing the issue, no profile view in stats. even I am receiving a job interview almost on a daily basis. Also getting a job even due to busy schedules I am declining the interviews.

and the second thing I am from Pakistan where PayPal is not operational and my local bank does not support international payments. I am using the Payoneer account to withdraw money, but how I used my Payoneer balance as in my own client account because I need help from other freelancers.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Our engineers are already aware of this issue and are working to fix this as soon as possible. 

 

For your concern with adding a billing method to hire freelancers, first switch to your client account and go to settings to add a billing method. You can check the accepted billing methods here

Good to know this is not just me, but I do wish your team would resolve this. It has been going on for some time now and the issue should have been resolved sooner than this.

Agreed, this has been an issue for a while now ... is it a very complex bug or something? (Please don't open a ticket for me, as it's a site problem, not an individual problem.)

For four weeks in a row I have zero views. But I get messages that there are more views, and that my profile is regularly visited by customers. Why such a difference?

Why my profile is showing  0 views from last 20 odd days, but I can see employers messaging me and giving me new contracts?

Any clue why the MARKETING EFFECTIVENESS graph is not updating? (Attached SS). It always remains the same. I have submitted proposal to over 10 jobs, but it doesn't improve. I always try to make the cover letter unique, But Not getting a single invitation. What is wrong with my profile? What to do now??
