And they removed total feedback Smiley Happy

You did it wrong.

You should have requested the JSS impact removal the correct way via the email to the team who deals with that.

Not via chat.

However, the outcome would have been the same: You'd not have had any contracts in your 6 month window, so it would have counted the poor one from last year and your JSS would have plummeted to exactly the same.

Once it falls below 50% (once the only thing propping it up falls out of the equation this month) it will no longer show on your public profile anymore, so I guess that's something.

So Petra , in short you are saying that Upwork is not good for specialised skills that of Product Management and having on board long term contracts. Model works well for few short time contrats with earnings.

No, I am not saying that at all.

At the end of the day the imapact of one contract going wrong is greater when you have fewer, bigger contracts, but equally the chance of winding up with a difficult client increases the more contracts you have.  It's swings and roundabouts. But at this stage you managed to end up with poor outcomes in 2 out of the last 3 contracts, so you could just as easily have had poor outcomes in 20 out of the last 30...

To improve your JSS as soon as possible a few (you'd only need less than a handful) successfully completed contracts from smaller jobs you can absolutely ace would get you right up there again.

Again, when you have so few in your calculation window it doesn't take much.

All you'd have to do is establish a 6 month JSS again and your bad feedback from last year would no longer count because you'd have a 6 month calculation window which currently you do not.

That's all a moot point with that duplicate profile you've got - which might make your JSS the least of your worries.

Thank You for your all inputs and suggestions.

Duplicate profile was created , when there was migrtion issues from elance. I have not used , since then.

But I think I have to take on  that  blessing in disguise and scrap this in coming time.

It is funny to follow your discussion that goes on like no other. Like two parties from far and distant planets, you all are discussing the topic in quite different point of view and with completely different premises. This is of course understandable, yet quite unfortunate.

Let me have it wrong, but it looks like this very lack of compassion, when it comes to diversity in perspectives and "standing points", could be quite essential when it comes to the future of cyberspace as a whole too.

Wish you good day, and kindly recall, that world is full of diverse views and quite distinctive sets of values and traditions -- particularly what comes to communication, authority, work, purchasing, serving and in the core, how to be and interact together with others.

Animesh, sorry to jump in...

Diplomacy issues aside, you've gotten some solid advice on what probably did impact your JSS. All you have to do now is do these things differently in the future. When my JSS tanked I took a bunch of smaller jobs quickly, kicked butt with them, and my reputation improved. It wasn't easy but it was simple (IOW, it was a lot of hard work, vetting clients in advance, etc., but the game plan was seriously simple and straightforward).

Complaining won't improve your JSS but making smart changes will. It really will. Please just take what advice you can based on what has worked for people in the past, and start improving your situation. It can be done. But you have to be willing to 100% own it. You're upset (I would be too, trust me) but you can't be emotional about this. You need to make changes and make them right now, or else you're losing an opportunity.

The beginning of the year can be slow. However, if you decide to leave Upwork over this, nobody can stop you. I don't want to sound cold but freelancers have to be very, very self-motivated and have to not give up even during the dry times. Dry times WILL come. If you aren't okay with this fact then a regular job on-site (not online) might be a better option for you. Ultimately the choice is yours. Good luck and much success, whichever way you decide to go.

Are you sure that beginning of year can be slow?
Thanks.
