Job postings are able to receive proposals after hiring

Hello dear community and moderators. 

After a client hires a freelancer, why do the job stays open and able to receive more proposals?

Shouldn't the post be closed or something?

I know I can see the posting stats before sending a proposal, but I still wonder how many freelancers keep sending proposals to postings that already hired someone.

Hi Gustavo,

I understand you wanted to know why some projects are still open after a client hires a freelancer. Please know that depending on the project scope, some clients may hire more than one freelancer, so they keep the project open until they have hired another freelancer. Once they have achieved the desired number of freelancers, clients can then go ahead and update the project status.

Also hired freelancer can fail with task so next one will be hired.
