Leaving client feedback

Curious, I'd like to know if there is ever a time that a freelancer can leave feedback for a client when the client has not left feedback first? I just finished an hourly contract with a lovely lady, and I'd like to leave her some great feedback; she has not left feedback yet as the contract is not closed. This question is for both hourly and fixed rate contracts.

I leave feedback for the client when I close the contract. You don't need to wait on the client to go first.
