Pay freelancers for a job they didn't get

Hi there, I recently had a freelancers 'apply' for a job but I ended up hiring someone else. I wanted to pay the freelancer for their initial work, but I can't find a way to pay them now that I've hired someone else and closed the job.

I just want to pay them a flat free for their initial efforts- how do I do this?

Hi Lee, 

You will need to hire a freelancer. In this case, you may want to hire the freelancers for a fixed price contract so that you can set set the milestone payment for the work they completed.
