For some time I have suspected that I've been being directly contacted by fake clients with non-jobs.
Company founders and leaders who mysteriously are unable to schedule a call, appear on a scheduled call, or follow-up to their original message after I have responded.
That's pretty curious if they have taken the time to find & DM me in the first place?
The latest example was a freelancer (with a private profile, so I could see no history) who asked to connect via the network feature, wishing to discuss an opportunity. No response to my reply to him, nor to a second reply a few days later. I notice today that his freelancer account has now been deleted. So this one absolutely stands out as fake.
I don't know what the game is, or who's game it is.
But there is a pattern here over the last 6 months.
I am wondering if other freelancers are experiencing the same thing.

No.
Maybe specific keywords with your skill used to search.
But your profole is private, search will ignore you. Should be you already in some spamlist.
