This Client is a Scammer. I have attached the Post link and chats below . 

They target Freelancers who are new to the platform. Please try to avoid such clients who asks you to talk outside the platform and asks for Deposit.

Samuel, I'm afraid there are huge number of such scam job offers on Upwork, right now. These are often discussed in the Frelancers and New to Upwork forums.

You can always flag the job in order to tell Upwork about it. They'll eventually take it down.

Luce has provided a really helpful solution- to report these so the team dedicated to investigating this can take action as soon as possible. 

Please note that sharing contact info prior to a contract starting is against ToS and one of the most common scams is when the client wants to take your conversation to Telegram.
