Hello,
I have been applying for jobs and my connects are deducting. Is it the right approach to continue applying for jobs until your connects reaches zero? I have heard that continuing to apply for jobs wastes your connects. Please advice. I want to save connects until something shows up on my notification.

Hi Fatima,
You have complete control over your account and whether you submit proposals or not, that's up to you.
We suggest you only submit proposals to jobs that match your skills and experience. That way, you are not wasting them on jobs where the client may prefer someone who's more qualified.
I noticed that you have the Availability Badge on. I suggest you turn this off as it is understood on your profile that you are available to work and take on new projects as you don't have any ongoing ones. The Availability Badge is best for freelancers with active contracts to let the clients know that they still have the capacity to take on new projects.
You may try creating Project Catalogs in order for you to possibly get orders. Project Catalog lets the client order your service so you do not have to spend Connects.
You have full authority over how you use your Connects and while you want to save Connects, this gives other freelancers more chance at winning the job that may have been more suitable for you.

For the Project Catalogue, is it for those freelancers that are running a business or is it just to create your own service/skill? I am neither running a business or having my own service as I am unemployed. For the availability badge, if I turn it off then would not clients think that I am not available?

Hi Fatima,
Thank you for reaching out and raising this query. Creating a project in Project Catalog is another way to connect with clients and earn. Creating a project allows you to craft clear, defined work with set timing, details, and pricing. Also, Project Catalog allows you to sit back and let clients come to you, leaving them with excellent services you can offer to review. Another way to get ideas for your project is through Project Catalog.
You can turn the Availability Badge on and off to signal when you're ready to take on new clients. Once turned on, clients will see your badge in search results, recommendations, and on your profile and will know you're eager for further work. Turning it off doesn't necessarily mean you're unavailable to accept projects from potential clients.

Ok So clients can still see my profile even if I am not available to take on projects.
