Sent payment to wrong Paypal email

I recently changed my Paypal account email, but now I made an mistake and sent it to old Paypal email. I did also contacted Paypal but they said they can not trace the transfer. Also, the payment is grayed out in Upwork, so I assume its Pending. Is there a way I can revert the payment or is it coming back to my Upwork account automatically after some time, if yes then when

Paypal is fast. Up to week-two i think. With banking same can take an month.
