How many Specialized Profiles can a Freelancer create/have at a time?

You can only create two, and that is almost invariably a good thing, especially when you are first starting out.

Clients generally want specialists, not "jack of all trades"

If you are offering additional specializations, you could mention them on your general profile, but bear in mind the "jack of all trades" thing 😉

Hi everyone, I recently deleted a speciality profile but it still comes up first whenever I check 'public view'. How do ensure it is deleted as I don't provide this service anymore? Thank you.

Hope you all are safe and doing well.

The question is that my specialized profile is showing to the public and showing while searching. BUT my general profile is not showing to the public nor can be found while searching.

I want to delete my specialized profile and just have my general one. I can't find any place on my settings that gives an option to delete the specialized profile?

Hi Louise,

If you only have one specialized profile, you will not see the option to delete or unpublish it. You can always edit the information for accuracy!

I'm new to upwork and trying to create specialzed profiles for myself but I'm unable to for some reason. When I click on 'Create Specialized Profile' it gives me 2 options but no button to confirm selection of the either of the options.

Can someone pls help me out here to resolve thsi ASAP?

I have a few questions about the specialized profile that I would appreciate if you answered. 

1. I want to have a specialized profile on different job categories, for example, one on Translating, the other on SEO. Can clients from SEO see my Customer reviews from translation profiles?

2. Can anyone who visits my profile see my all specialized profiles?

3. If I make the profiles private, can people who search for talents see find my profile?

Hi Sara,

I understand that you have some questions about how specialized profiles work. Please check below for answers to your questions:

1.  You can create up to two specialized profiles. 

2. Your profile will contain an indicator that you have other specialized profiles, and the client will have the option to switch between those versions when viewing your profile (similar to how you switch between versions when editing your profile).

3. If you set your profile visibility to private, the only information that will be available publicly is your photo, city, and country.

I have created a speacialized profile. I try to add a Turkish language under Skills & Expertise but I can't. When I click on See More nothing happens. Only 4 languages are selectable as seen on the screeshot in the attachment.

Could you please check if clicking on the "see more" button shows the language you're looking for? 

If not, please keep in mind you can add this in the Language section of your profile.

I had made two specialized profiles and was able to remove one but not able to remove the last specialized profile. I have decided to work on single type of projects and hence need no specialized profile. Is there any solution for this?

Hi Darshan,
