New to UpWork and just verifying the terms.
In my regular course of business, I am very used to a client asking for a project but then showing them the value of ongoing services (often to avoid the rush project crisis again). Assume an UpWork client posts a project for year-end bookkeeping or tax work but through my service and our communication realizes the value of having a regular, ongoing service contract. Am I to send him/her back through UpWork to post and hire me for the new scope of work? Is it the expectation that UpWork will forever receive 10% commission off any work with that client for the entire duration of my potential long-term client relationship, regardless the changes in scope and "up-sell services" I may offer?
That's the way some of the information and posts appear to read. Very important for me to confirm.
THANKS!!!

It is correct, you must pay 10% commission off any work with that client.
After 2 years you can use otion to take client outside and use direct payments.
