Upwork deducts 1 connection per day

For the Badge, Upwork deducts 1 connection per day. I'm not really sure what kind of badge this is or what advantages it offers.

This connection deduction is confusing to me. if the commission rate on my hourly rate and package rate is 10%. So why should I pay an additional amount for the connection? Additionally, if I purchase any connections, they may deduct 1 point each day from my account for an unknown badge that I am unaware of.

Can you please guide me on how to disable it?

And if they charge one connection for a useless badge, then they should refund all deducted connections, right? Last month, they charged 26 connections for this badge.

Not a single one will be refunded, the connects spent are gone.
