Using my middle name.

Hi there

I'm writing under my middle name here on UpWork, which is Sam, my full name being *** Edited for Community Guidelines ***. However, *** Edited for Community Guidelines *** is the name on my bank account. I tried to submit a birth cert as a form of id but it was not accepted. It shows my full name. I am currently waiting on a new national id to provide to UpWork, it has been paid and applied for. I would just like some reassurance that this issue can be resolved when I provide current id, I can also provide a bank statement. I would prefer to keep writing under my middle name if possible. Though I do aim to comply with UpWork policy, regardless. Thank you for your time.

Once your identity is reviewed and is approved, you'll be able to work and start submitting proposals again. Please check this article about bank account name mismatch. Thank you.

In my experience, resolving discrepancy between one's legal name and one's publication name is an area in which Upwork's customer support is responsive and efficient. I wish you the same.

I’m actually having a hard time figuring out how exactly to get in touch with them. The most I can discern is that I need something called a ticket?

Apologies, I’m still quite new to this.

New ID is on the way in the mail though, so should be cleared up soon.
