Hello Everybody!

I would like to know how can I verify and receive a badge on my Native language which is Portuguese.

I recently did a Duolingo English Test and received a badge on my profile.

Thanks for listening,

Regards,

Dion

Hi Dion,

You will not be able to add a badge to Portugese because verification is only available for the English language.

@ Zaid--

I read your profile and your message above. Hope you're not looking to be verified as Native/Bilingual in English.

Your English isn't "native or bilingual" or anywhere near it.

Hi Zaid,

There are two ways to have a verified badge next to your level of English language:

- Your clients can rate your English proficiency

- You can add a certification to have your English level verified.

You can find more information in Garnor's post here.

 Hi Zaid,

It seems that you have accidentally set your English language skills as "native or bilingual"

Let me show you how to set them correctly:

Go to your profile, hover your mouse over the pen symbol for English, then change it to the correct level, which, judging from your profile and post here, is somewhere between basic and conversational.

Overstating a skill does NOT get you hired, it just makes you look dishonest. Any client looking at your profile immediately sees that your English isn't anywhere near native level. So the client will think "If he lies about that, what else is he lying about!"

In your field you do NOT need perfect English, so why lie?
