Is it gone for everyone or just me? I had it previously but now I don't have an option to use it. This is not good because we always depend on a faster way to reach out the support team.

It is expensive to run chat support services. The resources to provide live chat customer support are dynamically allocated. Live chat is sometimes available. Sometimes not. You should not count on seeing it again. Try to work through the messaging-based help desk ticket system.
Thanks Preston and you're right. However, I find it unacceptable that it's gone when I needed it urgently. We (contractors) weren't with such convience and Upwork regular earns from us.
It's just not fair because clients have access to phone and chat support whilst contractors are set to some limitations.
