Will still get paid even though the client cancelled the hourly project?

Hi!

I would like to know if will I still get paid for the hours I spent on an hourly project (it was tracked by the upwork app).

The client said their "12 yr old" kid made the project and then cancelled. I have already spent 16 hrs for the project and turned down other offers.

If you have tracked your hours using the Upwork Time Tracker App, then you will received payment following the Weekly Billing Cycle. All time logged in your Work Diary, whether tracked or added as manual time, is automatically invoiced to your client using the schedule below.

• Week 1 – You log time using the Upwork Desktop App (Time Tracker)
• Week 2 – Your time is invoiced to your client on Monday and they have until Friday to review your work
• Week 3 – Earnings become available on the following Wednesday
