Get Profile Feedback from Experienced Freelancers on Upwork

Hi New Upwork Freelancers!

Getting started on Upwork can take a lot of work and focus. To help make this process a little easier, we’ve created this post where you can request feedback on your profile. The Community is full of experienced Upwork freelancers who are passionate about helping others. These users will review your profile and provide feedback based on their experience.

If you’re interested in requesting help, make sure your profile visibility is not set to “Private” and then reply below.

We’re excited to see how Community members can continue to help each other to grow!

Cheers,
Mike

Hello! I'm new to UpWork but not new to freelancing. I'd love to use this site as a way to find new clients and I want to put my best foot forward. I'd love feedback about how I can improve my profile.

Thanks!

Stella,

Hey, wordsmith.

The tone of your write up is fine and it gets right to the point. So that's good.

Here in Internet Land there are many products a writer can sell. Those are blogs, "content," white papers, articles, books, scripts, product reviews, copywriting, research articles, travel writing, and more.

I would urge you to name a few of those products. Someone looking for a blog writer is going to want to see the word blog in your write up. Someone lookng for copywriting is going to want to see that. These guys look at your profile for validation. You write a proposal that says, "I can write your $6,000 a word blog for you," and the client wants to see if that's true.

In short, your writeup is short. It could use some more.

Long projects  are the freelancer's dream come true, because the less time you spend groveling the more you can spend earning. So you might want to shape your write up to prop up your long-form skills, which takes research skiills, organization, sometimes interview skills, editing skills sometimes, You could fashion a write up that validates your skills there.

It also pays to have a specialty. You write about cars or computers or fishing or casinos or travel. If you have a specialty or two, name them. It doesn't cancel out other assignments.

Yes, I am new to upwork as well and would also like a profile review. My profile is at: https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~012e5d5dd37888ae7d

Thank you in advance if any freelancer takes the time to review it! 🙏

Hy! I update and remove the mistake in my profile. Kindly review my profile. And tell me which part of my profile wants more improvement.  I did 4 jobs. 3 clients gave me 5 stars plus feedback but one client give me 4 stars and ended the contract ( this contract was longer). But I do not know why Upwork give me 64% JSS. Now, give me an opinion on how can I win the project. How do I increase my JSS? Kindly suggest me.
